Developed by the well-known author and certified Beer Sommelier Hubert Hanghofer in cooperation with Thomas Vogel (Beer Sommelier).
The Beer Color Chart is the official reference for the optical determination of the beer color, used by Beer Sommeliers.
It is designed and calibrated for the optimal determination of the beer color against a white background at daylight or daylight illumination.
Especially suitable for the use with the offical Beer Sommelier glass of the Association of certified Beer Sommeliers.
Of course, this beer color chart may also be used with other glasses.
This Beer Color Chart is based on the recommendations of the European Brewery Convention (EBC) for both formal tastings and beer competitions.
It should not be used in replacement of laboratory color measurements in beer production (this should only be carried out according to established quality control protocols).
It is the official Beer Color Reference of the jurors for several well-known national and international competitions, e.g the "European Beerstar", the "Concours General Agricolee Paris", the "World Beer Award" and at the beer tasting of "Selection".
Furthermore it has been the official reference at the former Amsterdamer Bock Beer Festival.
In addition, it is also used by the "German Brewers‘ Association" and the "Brasseurs de France".
Size: 85 mm x 185 mm (or 85 mm x 215 mm tri-lingual version).
High quality UV offset printing on transparent rigid vinyl film (300 my) with a protective lacquer on the backside.
